Main 

Main Responsibilities

Key duties will include: 

  • Supporting the GP and wider clinical team with routine administration and basic clinical tasks on behalf of the GP freeing up their time to focus on our patients. You will help and liaise with outside agencies, carry out administration elements of clinical audits and working alongside the Lead GP to ensure completion and dissemination of results as well as support with ensuring clinical compliance and governance alongside the practice team.
  • Sorting clinical post and prioritise for the GP/clinical team in terms of actions. You will also extract and review all information and laboratory result from clinical letters that need coding and add to notes according to agreed protocols.
  • Arrange appointments, referrals, tests and follow up appointments of patients as well as basic forms such as mortgage, benefit agency forms etc.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Reception or customer care experience is essential as well as an excellent communicator both spoken and written.
  • Must have basic PC skills such as Word, Excel and email.
  • Able to work within processes, procedures and maintain confidently and data security.
  • Must be able to adapt with changing priorities and be personable, polite and patient with our patients.
