Job Introduction
We are looking for an Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner to join our Early Help Mental Health team in one of our Wiltshire hubs!
You will have the chance to take a lead role in supporting children, young people and their families who need specific mental health interventions focused on agreed mental health outcomes.
The role will be based in one of our Wiltshire hubs, either in Salisbury, Chippenham or Trowbridge. There is the possibility to discuss part-time hours and working patterns at interview stage, however the core working hours are Monday to Friday 9-18:30pm. There is potential for weekend and evening working where appropriate and with negotiation.
Main Responsibilities
As an Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner, you will:
- Promote the mental and emotional health of children, young people and families in the community through evidence based clinical interventions while routinely measuring clinical outcomes following these interventions
- Prevent more serious mental health problems in children and young people by early identification of the development of mental health problems in children and young people and delivering goal-based interventions to support their wellbeing or referring to partner agencies where necessary
- Oversee the development of Wellbeing Coaches and other practitioners within the service
- Develop psychological formulations for individual patients that contribute towards the overall assessment of their care needs
- Plan, deliver and review individual and group therapeutic interventions for specific patients
- Identify gaps within and potential developments of the wellbeing programme, reporting these to Emotional Wellbeing Lead.
The Ideal Candidate
You will hold a relevant qualification. This could include psychological wellbeing practitioner, Registered Mental Health Nurse, Clinical Psychology, PGCe, Counselling or an undergraduate certificate in delivering evidence-based low intensity interventions.
It is preferable to have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in the relevant field of mental health practice. However, support such as decider skills training can be discussed where required.
Due to the nature of this role, a driving licence and access to a vehicle is required.
